OPEN POSITION Food Scientist

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Product Development, the Food Scientist is responsible for technical expertise of specific products and industry areas. The Food Scientist is responsible for analyzing new ingredients, developing new products, improve existing products, and interfaces with sales associates and customers to meet their product development needs. It is preferred expertise in areas of food science and technology, such as ingredients, extrusion, baking, beverage, and dairy is desired.

Essential Physical and Mental Requirements
Jobholder Entry Requirements: BS/MS Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or equivalent. 5-10 years Product Development and Process Development. Knowledge in the manufacture, process, composition, physical and chemical properties, and functionality of foods and food ingredients. Operation of RVA and Texture Analyzer. Computer literate – Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Genesis.
